LANDGIRL

You are members of the Women's Land Army, known as the "Cinderella Service”. You work on Britain's farms to replace male labourers who even now are fighting in the largest war the world has ever seen. Your work is underpaid, unrecognised, unending, and utterly crucial to the prosecution of the war.

Britain at the start of this war imported twenty million tons of food a year including 70% of its cereal grains, 50% of its meat, and 80% of its fruit. If you do not work the fields, there will not merely be no jam tomorrow; there will be no bread either.

Your husband, sweetheart, lover, brother, father, or your best friend is away at war facing the bombs and the bullets while you must toil in the lush greenery of the countryside and clinging mud of the farmyard. Perhaps you volunteered or perhaps you were conscripted, but either way you must do your duty in your nation's hour of need.

LANDGIRL is a tabletop roleplaying game for 3-6 people and one GM intended for one-shot play, or short campaigns.  You play as women of the Women's Land Army, working according to the seasons on the British Home Front of the Second World War, separated from those your love, but forging new bonds with the women you work alongside.

To play, you will need a copy of the rules, clock sheets, and character sheets (included here), two six-sided dice, and some pencils and paper.
